1. What data we collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide the FieldReport AI service:

• Email address — collected when you subscribe to a paid plan, used to verify your subscription and send receipts.
• Report content — text you enter into the report form (equipment details, observations, work performed). This is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your report and is not stored on our servers after the response is returned.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We receive a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
• Usage data — basic server logs (IP address, request timestamps) retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes.

2. How we use your data

Your data is used exclusively to:

• Generate maintenance reports via the AI service
• Verify and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (receipts, subscription confirmations)
• Diagnose technical issues and maintain service security

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-party services

FieldReport AI uses the following sub-processors:

• Anthropic — AI text generation. Report content is transmitted to Anthropic's API. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Supabase — Database hosting for subscription records. Hosted in the EU. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.

4. Data storage and security

Subscription records (email address, plan type, subscription status) are stored in a Supabase database hosted in the European Union. We use HTTPS for all data in transit. Report content entered by users is processed in memory and not persisted after the API response.

Report data you generate is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) only. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to restriction — request that we limit the processing of your data.
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.

6. Cookies and local storage

FieldReport AI does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The app uses browser localStorage to save your report data, profile settings, and subscription email locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
